General Practice
"Treat a person, not a disease." Each patient of Euromed Clinic is assigned to a personal general practitioner. The same doctor supervises the whole family for years, detects any subtle changes and prevents many diseases at the early stages.
The General Practitioner can resolve up to 95% of medical issues involving other medical specialists only if necessary. The family doctor is trustworthy. He helps the family to form the correct attitude to health, makes sure that recommendations are followed, and the promises made by the family members to themselves are kept.

Who is a General Practitioner?
A General Practitioner is a doctor who diagnoses and treats diseases of any body systems, i.e. digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, endocrine, urinary, hematopoietic.
Thus, it is a versatile specialist whose consultation is required for the majority of patients. The doctor quickly detects the problem and refers the patient to the right specialist, if necessary.
Why do patients choose General Practitioners of Euromed Clinic?
Our General Practitioners are certified professionals with extensive experience. They are doctors who are listening carefully to the patients and defining their problems even without the use of additional diagnostics methods. Our General Practitioners remember all information about diseases and treatment of their patients.
When should I visit a General Practitioner?
In most cases, people visit a General Practitioner when they have:
- Cold, acute respiratory viral infection, influenza and complications of these diseases;
- Stomachache;
- Cardiovascular problems;
- Pain in the joints;
- Kidney disorders;
- Neurological disorders;
- Metabolic disorders;
- All “common” complaints such as weakness, headache, dizziness and so on.
You can always visit a General Practitioner if you feel unwell, but you do not know the exact reason. The General Practitioner will detect the issue and refer you to the right medical specialist!
Diagnostic methods of a General Practitioner:
- Taking anamnesis, interview;
- Visual examination;
- Palpation;
- Auscultation;
- Blood pressure and pulse measuring;
- Additional investigations (ultrasound, X-ray, lab tests, etc.)
What happens during a General Practitioner’s appointment
A General Practitioner thoroughly interviews the patient, examines and auscults him. Based on the collected data, the General Practitioner concludes which organ or system may be out of order, and refers the patient to a medical specialist and/or prescribes specialized investigations (ultrasound, X-ray, lab tests, etc.), and suggests hospitalization, if necessary.
The General Practitioner maintains your medical record. The doctor is aware of all prescriptions, he accumulates complete information on your treatment. The General Practitioner is a doctor who develops a treatment schedule for the patient in general (not just for a separate body system).
